Three RoboGrinder competition robots on the arena floor

Our robots.

From agile ground units to autonomous systems, our robots bring mechanical design, electronics, embedded controls, and computer vision together on the competition field.

Meet the robots

Designed to compete.

Every robot has a role. Explore our 2025-2026 designs and the engineering behind each one.

Infantry

Infantry robots are agile ground units that lead the offensive line. Equipped with 17 mm projectile launchers, they take on opposing robots in fast-moving encounters.

  • 17 mm projectiles
  • Agile chassis
  • Offensive role

Sentry

Sentry is a fully autonomous unit that operates without a human driver. Onboard SLAM, NAV2, LiDAR, and computer-vision tracking work together to navigate the field and engage opposing robots.

  • Autonomous navigation
  • LiDAR & SLAM
  • Computer-vision tracking

Hero

Hero is a heavy assault unit that combines a high-torque chassis with a launcher for 42 mm, golf-ball-sized projectiles. It is designed to deliver heavy damage to opposing robots and fortifications.

  • 42 mm projectiles
  • High-torque chassis
  • Heavy assault role

Engineer

Engineer is a non-combat utility unit that supports the fleet with custom grabbing mechanisms that collect resource minerals and revive eliminated teammates. These mechanisms make it the fleet's most mechanically complex robot.

  • Resource collection
  • Teammate revival
  • Custom grabbing mechanisms

Help build what comes next.

Our robots are built by students working together across five engineering subteams. Meet the people behind the machines or support their next season.
